Assemblywoman Barbara Lifton
Visits Groton & Holds Meeting

February 17, 2010 - NYS Assemblywoman Barbara Lifton held a Town Hall Meeting in Groton this afternoon. Lifton, a Democrat, represents the 125th District and addressed a somewhat sparse, but vocal group in this "last bastion" for republicans in Tompkins County. The audience, made up of multiple political persuasions and some non-political as well, was not afraid to say what was on its minds and Lifton, to her credit, didn't appear to be dodging any of the comments or questions. When the session ended, Assemblywoman Lifton made time to talk one on one with those that wanted to, even though she was due in Cortland and the roads were slippery.
